With the Single Touch Payroll (STP) compliance deadline fast approaching, the ATO is reminding business owners to get prepared.

The September 30 deadline applies to businesses who employ 19 or less staff. Larger businesses have been using the system since July 2018.

If you are having trouble getting ready, you may be eligible to apply for a deferral. You can find more details through the ATO website

The ATO also has a downloadable checklist to make sure you’ve ticked all the boxes before the deadline. You can access the checklist here as well as more general information from the ATO regarding STP here.

Get in touch with the team at Shakespeare on 08 9321 2111 if you would like to discuss how Single Touch Payroll may apply to your individual circumstances.
