According to a statement on the MYOB website, AccountEdge software is currently incompatible with the latest Mac operating system ‘Catalina’.
This means that AccountEdge customers who update their MacOS to Catalina will be unable to use their AccountEdge software.
Apple have not yet announced a launch date for Catalina, simply stating it will be “later this year”. Tech publisher Macworld however is speculating the launch could be as early as September 23.
MYOB is working on a compatibility upgrade for AccountEdge, but cannot guarantee it will be ready before Catalina is released.
MYOB is advising AccountEdge users to wait until the software upgrade is issued before installing Catalina OS, otherwise they will not be able to use the software. They also advise disabling automatic Mac OS updates as a safeguard.
