A whopping $41,000 was raised at the (annual) Curtin Wesley Football Club Pink Tiger Day 2019, which was held on Saturday, May 18 and proudly sponsored by Shakespeare Financial Group.
Pink Tiger Day, now in its 9th year, has collectively raised $311,000 for the McGrath Foundation.
The Shakespeare team was out in force, proudly wearing their pink t-shirts as they cheered on the Curtin Wesley Tigers – who were also wearing pink jumpers.
It was a full day of food, live music and entertainment, with NOVA 937’s Nat Locke as MC, and Fremantle Dockers AFLW star Evie Gooch as guest speaker.
Evie kindly shared the story of her mother who battled breast cancer during Evie’s childhood.
Special guest Tracy Bevan, founder of The McGrath Foundation, made a trip over from Sydney to attend Pink Tiger Day 2019.
The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide invaluable support and care to women and men experiencing breast cancer. From diagnosis right throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses are available to help individuals and their families for free and with no referral.
Shakespeare has a long and valued history with this event, and we are so very proud to once again be a supporting partner.
